Excel spreadsheet that pulls Domino XML data over HTTP and charts the result. ( Excel 2003 is required for this demo)

    This Excel spreadsheet is attached

If you are on a network, you can change or delete Data in the Excel cells and then refresh the XML to reverse your changes. The XML data is from a live Domino server.
http://www.msdomino.net/orders.nsf/ordersxml?openagent is the URL that provides the data. The public view is found at http://www.msdomino.net/orders.nsf/customer%20orders?OpenView

Update: I've added buttons to delete and refresh the data.

What do you do when there is security on the database?  It does not prompt for a username/password - it just says it can't open the file.

    Thanks

Did you set the Agent security to "Run as Web User"?

That didn't work for me.  It only works when Anonymous has access to the database.  We are using SSL - I don't know if that makes a difference.

    Thanks

OK, I'll set up a demo public database with  security turned on and we can test it.  I'm going set set the user name to Joe User and the password to "wordpass".

    Here it is http://www.msdomino.net/joe_webs.nsf/ordersxml?openagent

it requires user name and password  [joe user, wordpass]  This database has Anonymous with "no access" and "Run as Web User" and "Allow public access users to view and run this agent" checked.

I think the difference might be that we have session authentication enabled.  We don't get the username/password popup.  I can run our agent on the web because it brings me to our custom login form first.  But, in Excel, it isn't able to prompt for that information.

    Thanks

That seems right.  Mine prompts me in Excel.
